Elta Tar controls and moisturizes for relief of psoriasis and eczema on skin and scalp. Melts on contact for deeper absorption and superior moisturizing power. No staining or unpleasant odor! Strong non-prescription level of coal tar solution (10 % LCD) to reduce cell proliferation.

Works hard to control itching and scaling in durable waterproof base.
No drying alcohol base or irritating formula. Elta base lubricates and moisturizes while delivering 10 % coal tar solution.
No offensive coal tar odor.
No greasy, sticky residue. Melts on contact, penetrating to moisturize and deliver the LCD solution.
12 hour moisturizing power. At the end of 12 hours, Elta Tar Creme still holds 90 % of the moisture in the skin to stop dryness, while improving flexibility and comfort.
Use as a carrying agent for pharmaceutical compounding. Low melting point and no evaporation.

Ingredients

10 % Topical Coal Tar Solution (2 % Coal Tar, SD 40 Alcohol, Polysorbate 90) in moisturizing Elta base: Petrolatum, Paraffin, Mineral Oil, PVP Eicosene Copolymer (Inert).

Other Ingredients

Moisturizing Elta base of Petrolatum, Paraffin, Mineral Oil, PVP Eicosene Copolymer.

Indications

Use to help control psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis on skin or scalp. Melts into skin on contact. No greasy, sticky residue or strong odor. For scalp, massage into scalp before bed, cover with cap, wash out in the morning

Warnings

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water. If condition worsens or does not improve after regular use of this product as directed, consult a doctor. Use caution in exposing skin to sunlight after applying this product. It may increase your tendency to sunburn for up to 24 hours after application. Do not use for prolonged periods without consulting your doctor. Do not use this product in or around the genital area or groin except on the advise of a doctor. Do not use this product with other forms of psoriasis therapy such as ultraviolet radiation or prescription drugs unless directed to do so by a doctor. If condition covers a large area of the body, consult your doctor before using this product.

Directions

Apply to affected areas one to four times daily or as directed by a physician.
